Hurricane Web Design in Vancouver was founded by Cary Blackburn in 2000 (formerly Hurricane Web Publishing). It is a full-service studio offering web design, website maintenance, social media strategy and integration and search engine optimization in the Vancouver, British Columbia area servicing Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, Abbotsford and Mission. Our mission is to fuse great web design, customer service and affordability together for our clients.
Cary took his 10 years of knowledge of graphic design and typography in print and turned it into great looking and functional web design. His first website was designed for the 2000 British Columbia Junior Women’s Curling Championship. Since then, he has completed web designs and web development for many more websites for businesses and organizations in the Vancouver and Fraser Valley area, British Columbia, across Canada and the United States including Curl BC, Playdowns.com, Sandra Schmirler Foundation, Salon Gloss and Meridian Meats.
In September of 2010, Cary formed a partnership with Grant Dezura, a successful entrepreneur and President of Coronation Insurance Agencies Ltd. in Port Coquitlam, BC, with the goal of building Hurricane Web Design in Vancouver and serving our clients even better.

Cary BlackburnCary Blackburn is the co-founder and President of Hurricane Web Design in Vancouver and has been doing graphic design for 21 years and web design for 11. Cary believes in the significance of great design and typography on the web and in print. He is the creator of Playdowns.com, the online curling playdowns results site for Curl BC, the Northern Ontario Curling Association and the New Brunswick Curling Association. In 2009, Cary was awarded the Curl BC Friendship award for his contribution to the sport of Curling in British Columbia. Cary lives in Maple Ridge, BC with his wife and son.
Grant DezuraGrant Dezura bought his first business at the age of 24 and is currently the President and Owner of Coronation Insurance which operates two successful general insurance offices in the lower mainland. He continues to search out interesting business ventures and real estate opportunities.
Diane DezuraWith a background in radio and print advertising and promotion, Diane is also a World Champion and Olympic Bronze Medalist in Women’s Curling.
